BushFire can do most of the DNS settings for you!
Yes! We have cleverly integrated the relevant functions of DeSec.io directly into our utility. Just so that often you do NOT have to do most of the stuff yourself. The very first time you do use DeSec.io; you would need to create an account -- BushFire actually does a clever integrated approach on either signing-in (i.e. login) or sign-up (i.e. register) from one and the same form.
When you are creating a new account at DeSec.io using BushFire,
make sure you do remember the password that you wrote there!Once you register; DeSec.io would send you an email and you will need to confirm your email address. Ensure you do all the other work AFTER confirming your email.
Setting up the Name Servers for your domain to the DNS system of DeSec.io
This is one step you cannot skip, once you decide to use DeSec.io as your website's DNS system. You have to setup your site's Name-servers correctly to point to DeSec.io This is explained here separately.
Registering at DeSec.io without using BushFire
Before you think that registering at DeSec.io can only be done via BushFire, let us make this clear: You are always free to setup your own account at DeSec.io and then generate an API Token there; which has the permissions to add and change data for your domain. Then use ONLY that DeSec API Token for BushFire to work on your website. And never use the sign-in/sign-up form, where you would have to otherwise give your password.
